This is by far the best Ban mi sandwich I've tried. The baguette itself fresh and so tasty. I always get extra few baguettes to make my own sandwich for another day. My favorite is the egg or the sardines sandwich.
On the corner of busy street with heavy traffic! Small, hole in the wall restaurant with only 2 tables for outdoor seating. Service was good and sandwiches were made very quickly. Delicious sandwiches and Vietnamese ice coffee is strong!
I am always looking for new places to try banh mi, and since I am in San Jose, why not? I went to a place called Banh Mi Oven. What I noticed was that this place makes its pate and mayo. Not only that, the bread was fresh. When I went in the mid-afternoon, only one person was working, and it was a good thing it was slow. It is also like a small store selling some chill oil and snacks.
My favorite place for Banh Mi. Love the option of a small sandwich size. It's the perfect size. The ingredients are fresh and consistent. The person at the register was nice and patient. The interior was clean. It can get busy so there is a little little wait. I wish they were on DoorDash from where I live.
We got two cold cut combos with extra pâté, and they were delicious. The lady in the front took a little long with the orders, but she was nice.
